The college regularly organises Blood Donation Camps, AIDS Awareness Camps, Drug De-addiction Camps & Eye Donation Motivation Camps.
NSS volunteers &students of Pharmacy are actively involved in the Pulse-Polio Compaign of Health & Family Welfare Deptt. The "Donate Blood Save Life" slogan of the college is so popular in the area that blood is donated almost every day by the students and /or staff members to the needy patients. Thus, the college has contributed in saving many precious life.

The students of the college are also working very hard to keep the environment of the college "Clean & Green".

The N.S.S. Unit of Pt. J. R. Govt. Polytechnic College, Hoshiarpur organized a seminar on AIDS Awareness & Voluntary blood donation in association with the Distt. Red Cross Society.

Bahadur Singh Sunet, Lecturer Pharmacy and incharge NSS activities was honoured by Punjab Government with State Award for his examplary Social Service especially in the field of Blood Donation, Eye Donation, Drug De-addiction Awareness, AIDS Awareness, Environment Protection Awareness, Work for Strengthening Brotherhood, Peace & National Integration. He himself has donated blood for more than 45 times and till now he has organized about one hundered blood donation camps and motivated thousands for blood donation and donation of eyes by organising motivating camps in colleges, villages and at religious gatherings. He is involved in getting the eyes of 250 persons after their death and thus helped 500 corneal blind persons to get the sight through eye donation service.
